Upon completing this course, the student will be able to:
Understand and explain what a green building is, and why the definition of “green”is so important;
Engage in the more current discussions in sustainable building design;
Understand how the basic principles of building science pertain to the building envelope
Understand the basic components of an integrated building system, how these components affect each other and how they operate
Develop a database of local and/or regional specific information on construction pricing
Identify trends and costs associated with sustainable building
