Larry LeDue

Larry has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry. He has instructed audiences at schools and colleges, trade groups, communities and homeowners associations in active and passive solar applications and has consulted with home builders, home owners and architects.

Larry and his wife Doris followed their dream to live off-grid and designed and built their own Earthship home incorporating both active and passive solar for heating, electricity and water heating.

Certified in photovoltaic design and installation, he holds active memberships in local, state and national environmental and professional organizations and meets numerous continuing education and licensure requirements.

He has instructed courses in Basic Electrical Principles as they relate to Photovoltaic Systems Design and Installation, Advanced PV Design and Installation, comprehensive programs teaching Design and Installation of grid tie PV Systems, Grid-tied and Off-grid Solar and Solar Photovoltaics Certificate of Knowledge Programs.

Larry is accredited by the Colorado State Board of Community Colleges and Occupational Education for Instruction of Energy Production and Industrial Construction, CoSEIA certified in Photovoltaic Installation; he is a pre-approved Solar Contractor for the Governor’s Energy office and his “Off Grid Stand-Alone & Hybrid PV Systems” course is acknowledged by the North American Board of Certified Energy Professionals as meeting the criteria for 8 hours of continuing education credit.

Larry is a member of CORE (Connected Organizations for a Responsible Economy), Environment Colorado, CRES (Colorado Renewable Energy Society), CoSEIA (Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association), and the Governor’s Energy Office – Technical Advisory Panel.
